Trekking Season: March to December and January This a short program designed for people with limited time but who want to hike a section of the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and enter this Inca Sanctuary through the famous Sun's Gate ("Intipunku" in Quechua language). Enjoy the natural beauties and the scenic views of this easy to moderate trip. A great option for a short visit to Machu Picchu !!!
Waken up at the call of birdsongs, you will be offered a consistent breakfast. The half-day hike to the Chachabamba campsite will take you to the lush vegetation of the cloud forest where exotic birds (Andean guan, Gray-breasted mountain toucan, etc.) will salute your passing. Enjoy the scenic views of the Urubamba River and look for the playful Torrent Ducks. Do not miss the various wild Orchids and bromeliads along the path!!! We will have lunch at our Chachabamba campsite and have a leisurely afternoon to discover the Chachabamba ruins, refreshing time at the nearby creek or keep up with reading or writing. In late afternoon, you might see the colorful Cocks-of-the-Rock, the national bird of Perú, make its display around the campsite.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco / Km104 / Chachabamba / Wiñaywayna / Machupicchu:
First, transfer from the hotel to the train station to take the early train, and then it's leaving in the system of zigzag until the pass of Tika Tika, and after the way is downhill until Km 104, passing from the Sacred Valley. And then we get off in the start point of this trek, after we cross the suspension bridge to get to Chachabamba Inca's site and after brief visit begins a three hours walking up until the archeological site, which is Wiñaywayna, this site is well known as the spiritual place of the hike. After that we keep walking until Intipunku (sun gate). From there we can see the classic view of Machupicchu. In addition, half an hour walking down we will get to the most important place of the world, which is Machupicchu In addition then we are going to take the bus to get to Aguas Calientes village, to spend the night in hotel.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes Villages / Machupicchu / Cusco
Machu Picchu, After an early breakfast, we are going to take the bus up to Machupicchu, where we will be there earlier than the other groups. Then we will have a tour for two and an half hours with the Tour Guide. After that, you will have free time to explore by yourself. Once more, we have to go to Aguas Calientes Village to take the afternoon train to come back to Cusco. Finally, we have transfer from the train station to the hotel.

- What you need to bring/carry:

- Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco for a few dollars)
- Strong, comfortable footwear
- Sweater and jacket (something warm)
- Flashlight and batteries
- Hat or cap to protect you from the sun
- Sun block (sun protection cream)
- Insect repellent
- Toiletries, towel and toilet paper
- Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits etc,
- Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries
- Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at Aguas Calientes after the trek)
- You must bring your original passport on the trail.
Single Supplement: If you are traveling alone and would prefer to share a tent, we'll pair you with another trekker of the same gender and there will not be an extra charge. If you prefer to have a rent to yourself a surcharge of $ 30 will have to be paid.
Climate: The highland region of Cusco has well defined winter and summer seasons.Winter days (June - August) are very sunny and warm, but the temperature drops to near freezing at night. Rainy season is from January to March. December and January are two of the nicest months for trekking with only the occasional shower and blooming flowers.
